Phoenix Solar came to see us after I made an appointment, about having solar on our house for Hot Water and our swimming pool.

The engineer was very punctual, and within a short space of time I could tell that he knew what he was talking about, as I had done a little homework. There were no sales tactics, just a very knowledgeable engineer, who knew exactly what I wanted, and what I needed to achieve reduced energy bills. They won the installation because of his knowledge and his manner, and we have been very pleased dealing with them, as they were very friendly. Our main aim was to save money, so I thought about Solar. Yes our bills have seen a great difference and as a bonus, the installation has increased the value of my house.

Lastly the aftercare has been exceptional, where we called them to a minor problem and they came back the same day and rectified the problem with no hassle.

I would definitely recommend them, and the kids think we are great for helping save the planet too!

Phoenix Solar have proved to be a real find, after searching tirelessly for someone who could do both solar panelling and heating we were beginning to despair until a friend gave us Phoenix Solar's number. Craig Evans of Phoenix Solar installed my central heating system and solar heating system at the beginning of 2006. I have been particularly impressed with the solar heating system, which supplies me with hot water. Since mid April I have effectively had all my hot water supply provided by the solar panels with only an occasional top up form the gas boiler. Even on overcast days it manages to generate hot water and at the worst on a particularly rainy day it still managed to give warm water up to 31 degrees C.

The solar system was really put to the test when for 5 days at the end of April into the start of May I had an interruption to my gas supply. With the solar panels in place I was still able to have a hot shower every day. I had the panels installed largely for environmental reasons but I look forward to substantial cost gas savings on my gas bill, with free hot water for at least half the year.
